On July 4th, 2009 Disney released the first images of their future movie "Alice in Wonderland".
As anything created by Tim Burton they have that bizarre, almost twisted but totally unique quality. Not surprisingly, Johnny Depp (as the Mad Hatter) and Helena Bonham Carter (as the Queen of Hearts) work with him in yet another production; this time they are joined by Anne Hathaway and Christopher Lee.
Definitely a very particular take on a classic story, according to USAToday: "The traditional tale has been freshened with a blast of girl power, courtesy of writer Linda Woolverton (Beauty and the Beast). Alice, 17, attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. Off she runs, following a white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years before yet doesn't remember."
The movie will hit the theaters on March 5th, 2010.
Already, I can't wait!
